Dawn R.

I'm not a natural born programmer; code does NOT drip from my fingers like it seems to do with other programmers I know. However, I'm very inquisitive, and I like to know why I'm coding what I'm coding - is it the best thing to do for the system, can it be done better, more efficiently, etc. That'll be the years of talking to users, analysts, developers and managers in order to get them to see what needed to be changed on the system *{;-)

I like Oracle, I like it's simplicity and the fact that it's also incredibly complex! There's always something to be learning about it. I know that I still don't know very much about it all, but I'm willing to learn. I like to try to help out on the SQL / PL/SQL forum on OTN, and have learnt a lot from reading other people's posts, and also from people correcting my mistakes!

I've put this blog together mainly to keep the blogs I like to read together in my friends page, but also as a place for me to store useful information, or gripes that I have (people misusing dates is my current number 1 bug-bear!). If you've stumbled across this, I hope it will come in useful to you.
